Taxonomy
Orchesia (Orchestera) rasnitzyni was named by Nikitsky (2011). Its type specimen is SIZC K-176, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Rovno Amber, Klesov locality (SIZK K collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Ukraine.

It was recombined as Orchesia rasnitzyni by Bukejs and Alekseev (2015), Alekseev and Bukejs (2021).
