Taxonomy
Pseudotetrapturus luteus was named by Danil'chenko (1960). Its type specimen is PIN 1413/50 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sulak River near Miatly, which is in a Chattian marine horizon in the Maykop Formation of the Russian Federation.
