Zygopleura robroystonensis was named by Longstaff (1933). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Palaeozygopleura (Palaeozygopleura) robroystonensis by Horný (1955); it was recombined as Palaeozygopleura robroystonensis by Peel (2016).
