Taxonomy
Leptochondria dagestanica was named by Gavrilova (1995). It is not extant. Its type specimen is TsNIG Museum, No. 10/12682. Its type locality is Drill Hole 47, 4470-4465m, Solonchakovaya, Dagestan, which is in a Spathian marine horizon in the Dem'yanovskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
