Taxonomy
Puncturella (Altrix) pacifica was named by Squires and Goedert (1996). Its type specimen is LACMIP 11358, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1563, Larch Mountain area, Black Hills, which is in a Ypresian sand shoal mudstone in the Crescent Formation of Washington.
