Forcipomyia orientalus
Taxonomy
Aspinus orientalus was named by Hong (1981). Its type specimen is GMB IV10163, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Xilutian coal mine, Fushun amber (late 1970s collection), which is in a Ypresian terrestrial amber in China.
It was recombined as Amberaspinus orientalus by Evenhuis (1994); it was recombined as Succinaspinus orientales by Hong (2002) and Hong (2002); it was recombined as Forcipomyia orientalus by Szadziewski (2019) and Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
