Cosoryx (Paracosoryx) furlongi was named by Frick (1937). Its type specimen is UCMP 26795, a partial skull (Partial cranium with tall horn, maxillary series, ramus, etc.), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Paracosoryx furlongi by Davis (2007).
