Kayserops cantarmoricus was named by Morzadec and Arbizu (1978) [Kayserops? cantarmoricus].
It was recombined as Asteropyge cantarmorica by Morzadec (1983); it was recombined as Bradocryphaeus cantarmoricus by Burton and Tanner (1986); it was recombined as Hallandclarkeops cantarmoricus by Lieberman and Kloc (1997).
