Taxonomy
Santhalea bansloiensis was named by Maithy (1977). It is not extant. Its type locality is Tattitola, Bansloi Valley, which is in a Wordian/Lopingian fluvial horizon in the Pachwara Formation of India.
It was recombined as Dichotomopteris bansloiensis by Pant and Misra (1983).
