A. M. Gombos 1982The genus is characterized by a circular inner ring situated in the wide, or non-tapered, end of a lachrymal-shaped outer ring. The inner ring is connected to the outer ring by stout spokes, some of which may exhibit secondary branchings before contacting the outer ring.
