Taxonomy
Minicryphaeus giganteus was named by Bignon et al. (2014). Its type specimen is 80202 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jbel El Mrakib, which is in a Pragian carbonate marl in the Ihandar Formation of Morocco.
