Taxonomy
Chlamys (Ochotochlamys) gizhigensis was named by Bychkov et al. (1976). It is not extant. Its type locality is Basin Gizhigi, Malaja Turomtcha, Tosapecten-Otapiria zones, which is in a Norian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Ochotochlamys gizhigensis by Damborenea (2002).
