Taxonomy
Steinius annectens was named by Bown and Rose (1991). Its type specimen is USGS 28327, a mandible (right dentary with p4-m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS D-1834, which is in a Wasatchian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
