Lukousaurus yini

Taxonomy
Lukousaurus yini was named by Young (1940). Its type specimen is IVPP AS V.23, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huangchiatien, Lufeng, which is in a Sinemurian terrestrial horizon in the Lufeng Formation of China.

Diagnosis

C.-C. Young 1951Skull rather small. Nasal opening small and anteriorly situated. Preorbital opening triangular and high. Orbits well rounded. Muzzle looks slender. Lower jaw slender with the lower margin straight. Premaxilla bears five teeth and maxilla about ten teeth. AH the teeth are sharply compressed and pointed backwards. Posterior side with fine and short serrations.
