Zhyraornis kashkarovi
Taxonomy
Zhyraornis kashkarovi was named by Nessov (1984). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 42/11915, a set of postcrania (anterior synsacrum), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CBI-4, Dzharakuduk II, which is in a Turonian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan. It is the type species of Zhyraornis.
