Murchisonia (Goniostropha) minerva was named by Perner (1907) [Murchisonia (Goniostropha) Minerva Barrande in Perner 1907]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Area between the villages of Měňany and Koněprusy, which is in a Pragian marine horizon in the Praha Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Minervaenema minerva by Horný (1992), Wagner (2023).
