Taxonomy
Ammonites dupinianus was named by d'Orbigny (1841). It is the type species of Roberticeras.

It was recombined as Beudanticeras (Beudanticeras) dupinianum by Szives (2007); it was recombined as Roberticeras dupinianum by Latil et al. (2023).
