Taxonomy
Salterolithus (Ulricholithus) ulrichi was named by Bancroft (1949). Its type specimen is NHM In42371 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Broeggerolithus ulrichi by Dean (1960); it was recombined as Broeggerolithus broeggeri ulrichi by Bowdler-Hicks et al. (2002).
