Cerithiopsis (Cerithiopsida) diegensis was named by Bartsch (1911). It is extant.

It was recombined as Cerithiopsis diegensis by Jordan (1926); it was recombined as Cerithiopsida diegensis by Valentine (1957) and Hendy (2021).
