Coelopis (Coelopis) krumbecki was named by Hautmann (2001). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Northwest of Profil "Aliabad", Howz-e-Khan-Member, 3k, which is in a Rhaetian marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Nayband Formation of Iran.
