Taxonomy
Cordylodus horridus was named by Barnes and Poplawski (1984) [Cordylodus? horridus = 1969 Gen. et species indet. - Bradshaw, pp. 1164 - 1165 , Pl. 137:20-23 . ]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Paroistodus horridus by Albanesi and Barnes (2000).
