Dicotylophyllum pinnatifidum was named by Reid and Chandler (1926). It is not extant. Its type locality is Highcliffs sands/Cliff End Beds, near Mudeford, which is in a Bartonian marginal marine sandstone/sandstone in the United Kingdom.
