Taxonomy
Palissya conferta was named by Feistmantel (1877). It is not extant. Its type locality is Bindraban, which is in a Jurassic fluvial horizon in India.
It was recombined as Elatocladus conferta by Seward and Sahni (1920) and Lakhanpal et al. (1976); it was recombined as Elatocladus confertus by Chandra and Tewari (1991).
