Kindleina suemezensis

Taxonomy
Kindleina suemezensis was named by Savage et al. (1978). Its type specimen is USNM 223926 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Port Refugio 1, which is in a Famennian marine siliciclastic/limestone in the Port Refugio Formation of Alaska. It is the type species of Kindleina.

[Small to medium sized Iongitudinally ovate to subpentagonal Rhyn­ chonellacea with a ventral fold, dorsal sulcus and intraplicate anterior commissure. The dental lamellae are very short and the hinge plates are divided. No septalium or median septum is present.]
