Parabolinopsis mariana was named by Hoek (1912) [in Steinmann and Hoek].
It was recombined as Leptoplastides mariana by Henningsmoen (1957) and Robison and Pantoja-Alor (1968); it was recombined as Leptoplastides marianus by Boyce (1986).
