Taxonomy
Mathilda mazoviensis was named by Kaim (2004). Its type specimen is ZPAL Ga.9/257, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample D1, Wạwał clay pit, which is in a Valanginian offshore claystone in Poland.
