Taxonomy
Plesiomegalaspis (Plesiomegalaspis) norvegica was named by Tjernvik (1956). Its type specimen is OPM 61137, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Megistaspis (Paramegistaspis) norvegica by Hoel (1999); it was recombined as Megalaspides norvegica by Pärnaste (2006).
