Taxonomy
Missisquoia nasuta was named by Winston and Nicholls (1967). Its type specimen is USNM 185922, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Lunacrania nasuta by Westrop and Adrain (2014).
