Taxonomy
Moridunia simplicidens was named by Cope (1996). Its type specimen is NMW 78. 17G. 161 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dan-Ian-y-Castell Farm, Llangynog, which is in a Moridunian coastal mudstone in the Ogof Hen Formation of the United Kingdom.
