Taxonomy
Myophoria paucicostata was named by Jaworski (1922). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Uliachin, Cerro de Pasco (Conglomerate), which is in a Carnian marine conglomerate in Peru.

It was recombined as Myophorigonia paucicostata by Cox (1952).
