Taxonomy
Ogilviella prolifica was named by Savage (1970). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Basal Mandagery Park Formation, Manildra, New South Wales, which is in a Lochkovian marine limestone in the Mandagery Park Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Rhynchogilviella prolifica by Ceccolini and Cianferoni (2023).
