Pinna llajasensis

Taxonomy
Pinna llajasensis was named by Squires (1983). Its type specimen is UCLA 59196, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 374, Las Llajas Canyon, which is in a Lutetian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Llajas Formation of California.
