Taxonomy
Poriceata ardescensis was named by Walter (1983). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Serre-de-Tourre, level 5f, Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, Ardeche, which is in a Barremian shallow subtidal limestone in France.
