Prototoceras tropitum

Taxonomy
Ceratites tropitus was named by Abich (1878). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Araxes Gorge, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in Azerbaijan.

It was recombined as Otoceras tropitum by Arthaber (1900); it was recombined as Prototoceras tropitum by Leonova (2002).
