Taxonomy
Scaphites (Scaphites) rosenkrantzi was named by Birkelund (1965). Its type specimen is MMH 9802 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Scaphitesnaesen, Agatdalen, Nugssuaq, which is in a Campanian offshore shale in Greenland.
