Drillia antiselli was named by Anderson and Martin (1914). Its type specimen is CAS 226 and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Clathrodrillia (Moniliopsis) antiselli by Etherington (1931); it was recombined as Thesbia antiselli by Moore (1963); it was recombined as Xenuroturris antiselli by Addicott (1970).
