Taxonomy
Pseudotissotia segnis obesa was named by Taubenhaus (1920) [Pseudotissotia segnis obesa].

It was recombined as Vascoceras obessum by Kassab and Ismael (1994); it was recombined as Paravascoceras obessum by Hewaidy et al. (2012).
