Buteo fluviaticus
Taxonomy
Buteo fluviaticus was named by Miller and Sibley (1942). Its type specimen is UCMP 36266, a limb element (distal third of right metatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chalk Bluffs, which is in an Orellan terrestrial horizon in the White River Formation of Colorado.
