Buteo grangeri
Taxonomy
Buteo grangeri was named by Wetmore and Case (1934). Its type specimen is UMMP No. 14405, a skull (skull lacking mandibles), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Pass Creek Oreodon Zone, which is in an Orellan fluvial sandstone in the Brule Formation of South Dakota.
