Taxonomy
Kimmerosaurus langhami was named by Brown (1981). Its type specimen is BMNH R8431, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Endcombe Bay, which is in a Tithonian marine shale in the Kimmeridge Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
