Agnocardia glebosum

Taxonomy
Cardium glebosum was named by Conrad (1848) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Oligocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. Its type specimen is ANSP 30650, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vicksburg, which is in a Rupelian marine marl in the Byram Marl Formation of Mississippi.

It was recombined as Cardium (Trachycardium) globosum by Conrad (1865) and Conrad (1865); it was recombined as Cardium (Trachycardium) glebosum by Dall (1916); it was recombined as Agnocardia glebosum by Dockery (1982) and Schneider (2002).
