Taxonomy
Cardium (Trachycardium) pessoae was named by Maury (1925). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rio Pirabas (Maury coll.), which is in a Miocene shallow subtidal limestone/limestone in the Pirabas Formation of Brazil.
It was recombined as Agnocardia pessoae by Vokes (1984) and Schneider (2002).
