Ostrea (Alectryonia) chlamydoides was named by Martin (1922) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Indonesia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Ostrea chlamydoides by van der Vlerk (1931); it was recombined as Lopha chlamydoides by Skwarko (1994).
