Taxonomy
Migalea lavroi was named by Bendukidze (1993). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IP 9/7, a mandible. Its type locality is Sayaken, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial claystone in the Aral Formation of Kazakhstan.
It was recombined as Pseudoparatalpa lavroi by Lopatin (1999) and Bendukidze et al. (2009).
