Ostrea multistriata was named by Poli (1795) [DISTRIBUTION: Recent; Eastern Atlantic]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Pecten multistriatus by Bucquoy (1887); it was recombined as Chlamys multistriata by Roger (1939); it was recombined as Crassadoma multistriata by Waller (1993); it was recombined as Talochlamys multistriata by Dominici et al. (2020).
