Aeolosaurus colhuehuapensis
Taxonomy
Aeolosaurus colhuehuapensis was named by Casal et al. (2007). Its type specimen is UNPSJB-PV 959/1 to 959/27, a set of vertebrae, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ephemeral island, Lago Colhué Huapi, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian floodplain sandstone in the Lago Colhué Huapi Formation of Argentina.

processes and the base of the neural spine; anterior caudal vertebrae with a slender lamina joining the base of the prespinal lamina with the lower edge of the articular facet in the medial part of the prezygapophysis, producing a fossa on both sides of the prespinal lamina; caudal vertebrae with the posterior articular cone centrally placed. |
