Taxonomy
Prohylobates tandyi was named by Fourtau (1918). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Wadi Moghra, which is in a MN 4 marginal marine sandstone in the Moghara Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Prohylobates.
