Selenohyrax chatrathi
Taxonomy
Selenohyrax chatrathi was named by Rasmussen and Simons (1988). Its type specimen is CGM 42850, a mandible (partial mandible with right P2-M3 and a small portion of the horizontal ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry V (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
