Taxonomy
Bugtirhinus praecursor was named by Antoine and Welcomme (2000). Its type specimen is M 15361 (in NHM London), a set of teeth, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Dera Bugti Level 4, which is in a MN 3 terrestrial sandstone in Pakistan.
