Tirolites (Hololobus) was named by Kittl (1903). It is not extant. Its type is Tirolites (Hololobus) monoptychus.

It was reranked as Hololobus by Spath (1934) and Kummel (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Tirolites by Tozer (1981).

It was assigned to Tirolites by Kittl (1903); and to Dinaritidae by Spath (1934) and Kummel (1969).
